Join us for catechetical Pedagogy Day on Saturday, February 23, 2019. This workshop will provide the basis for our deeper work together as catechists and teachers. This
workshop is a follow up to the Mission Congress as we
continue to learn how to teach out catechetical programs with children and with adults from textbooks. Rather than having a textbook drive our instruction, might it be better to have the faith of the church drive our instruction? We will learn about the key elements of faith we want to be taught as well as the essential learnings appropriate by the children’s grade level. We will learn how to adjust and re-aim our teaching to
specific concepts, standards, and outcomes. We look forward to coming together in faith, learning and fellowship.
